Copenhagen

A project on the edge of a new town on the edge of Copenhagen on the edge of the western fields called for a base rhythm to the architecture, which addressed this edge condition. Research into the terrain around the site and the archaeology of ideas of the place unearthed the tower, gateway, broken defence wall, protected courtyard and much else on which the design of the building was constructed. With metaphor and analogy contributed, the exposure to the marvels of the Danish building industry was received.
This project received a Danish Design Award.
