Research acts as one of the key sources of lifeblood for the practice.

Aire Design has active links with the academic world, the institutional research environment that has followed Rio de Janeiro, Kyoto and Johannesburg, and we maintain detailed profiles of best practice projects in both the UK and on Continental Europe, updated on a quarterly basis. These profiled projects relate both to Urban Design and Architecture, often with new forms of innovative housing at their core. Architectural research is also conducted by collaboration with artistic and technical colleagues and by the act of drawing, and thereby the 'discovering' of new spatial formulations.

The link therefore between research and practice is close and innovation becomes a daily 'negotiation' between what is technically possible (research) and what is commercially possible (the project). By working on the advancement in the quality of this 'negotiation', client's projects can be part of the national and international agenda to develop a meaningful world.
